Close-Week Toolkit (Excel Close Calendar and Tracker)
Plenty of close checklists are free. This one does the parts they don't: it schedules the work around holidays, shows who's overloaded before it happens, logs the ad hoc requests that eat close week and writes your reminder emails with the right dates.
The 9 tabs
- Instructions: setup in five minutes, plus a legend
- Settings: close month, BD target, daily hours limit, company holidays
- Close Calendar: T-5 to BD8 dates, calculated in business days and skipping holidays
- Calendar View: the same close as a month grid you can screenshot for the team
- Close Tracker: every task with owner, due day, status, hours, and an automatic overdue flag
- Workload: hours per person per day against your limit
- Request Log: ad hoc requests with a triage call and a suggested reply
- Emails: three close emails with the dates already filled in
- Close History: days to close and late tasks by month, with a trend chart
It comes with realistic example rows, so you can see how it works before you clear them out. Formulas only, no macros.
Works in: Excel (Microsoft 365 or 2019 and later).
Pair it with the Survival Plan, which explains the method behind each tab, or get both in the Close-Week Kit.
